BLACKOUT 2003!!
Where the hell were you when the lights went out?
That's what they keep saying on the news .. as for me, i was in Brooklyn chillin' on my friends couch when i realized his cable box just shut off. He went on cursing about how his mom probably didn't pay the electric bill. I, on the other hand, new there was another explination because i'm savvy like that. Needless to say, we spent 2 1/2 hours driving around Brooklyn without stop lights trying to get into Manhatten, which wasn't happening since they put the bridges and tunnels on lockdown. IT WAS FUN TIMES.
Power went out around 4pm .. i got home around 8:30pm. Of course i made a short stop at the food store for some edibles and candles (one of which i stole, because there's no way i'm paying $4.99 for a candle from the A&P) and a quick stop at the liquor store. I picked up a bunch of junk that doesn't need to be refrigerated. I get home, get some candles goin', i'm all in the mood, and the damn power comes on! WTF?!
