don't tell and we won't ask
hey kids, i apologize for the no update period. it has by far been the best weekend of summer though i would say. the past 4-5 days really. so lets see.
friday i woke up butt-early after like 2 hours of sleep at joshs house and off we went to schlitterbahn. yes kids schlitterbahn. that was incredibly fun and despite what josh may have said there was no talking to ladies on my part because i am overly shy and not self confident at all. but yeah it was great fun. something different.
so saturday after another night of almost no sleep i wake up early to go to guitar center with my dad for my birthday. i love going there, so yeah i got my present from him, he bought me a wireless so that was awesome. then i came home and had cake and what not with the family then off i was to spend some of the new money. i bought the new rx bandits and brand new cds. then i headed off to load all our equipment for the show that night. we loaded up and got to javajazz around 6. the first band that played was really good and set a rockin atmosphere. the next band didn't fit in too well to the line up but the guitarist was mad good. the next band rockett queen. wow talk about queer. i seriously think they're all gay. and their music was terrible definitely a GC rip off. ohh well what can you do. then we came on and i'd have to say despite some technical difficulties with my amp it was one of our best shows. we made friends with one of the bands so that was really cool. i love playing javajazz i can't wait to play there again.
so sunday i wake up early again after no sleep (notice a trend?) and go pick up mr. hutchings to take him to the airport. then daryl called and said i had to be at jeremys at 1030 to meet up for warped tour. so i head home from the airport grab what i think i'll need for warped and head to jeremys. of course his sister wasn't ready till like 1130 so that sucked and we missed most of thrice but i still got to catch the last 2 songs so that was good. i love their music. then i watched dropkick murphys, they put on a really good show it was mighty good fun. then i went and saw poison the well. great band loved the set. then i watched the suicide machines and they had the greatest show. the crowd was awesome, it was just crazy. then i stayed at that stage waiting for Less Than Jake to come on, one of my alltime favorite bands. and they put on a dern good show. im never dissapointed with their shows. that was my 3rd time to see them. after that i caught a little bit of AFI i was pretty dissapointed though. and then the used came on. they sucked compared to the last two times i saw them, they wasted all this time talking about dumb stuff and not playing music. i was really dissapointed. they played like 4 songs in a 30 min pd. ohh well so then it was off to my final band of the night glassjaw. wow what stage presence their lead singer is insane. they put on a dern good show. so overall despite the heat and four $ water bottles i believe my money was well spent.
monday.......crash. dead from the weekend. just pretty much slept all day.
tuesday.......crash some more. then get off my butt to go look at more cds and such cause i was bored. i bought the new thrice cd and i am very impressed. i like it a lot. great lyrics, excellent musicians are always a good combination. i also bought boondock saints on dvd. what an awesome movie. so when i finished that brooke called and wanted to watch my newly bought boondock saints dvd so i dropped by her house and we started it then took a break to get Mc Donalds and came back to it. Then i went home. overall a great last few days.
well today i'll be sitting around then going to church later most likely. well i hope all you kids out there in blurty land are enjoying yourself. much love
