    Current mood: hungry
    Current music:Garbage - When I grow up

Age? Political affiliation? Chicken or Beef?
Happy Friday. =) Yes it surely lived up to it.

I was granted a full ten extra minutes to sleep this morning. I take what I can get, since I've experienced attending school on 3 hours of sleep and seriously contemplating tackling a girl for her cappachino in desparity to get caffeine in my system. So in my mind, I think I started the day off right.

First period was easy because she shortened our tests. Thank God for O. =) Aly is so funny. She refuses to listen to O the first she says things. Drives her nuts. *lol* Being that it is in fact the end of the week though, she cared much less than she would have ordinarily.

Vocal was easy. We just talked about singathon the whole first part of class and the time we had left after that was spent on "Rainbow". *shrug*

Oh, I haven't said a thing about singathon day. My goodness, was it fun! The filming wasn't too bad, aside from this HORRIBLE alto standing in front of me. We sang "Joy to the World", which starts on a D sharp in unison when we sing it. And she started on A sharp and stayed there! I was like "LADY WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!" Other than that, it was refreshing to hear the final product with the men because it's difficult practicing choral SATB music with estrogen infested pop singers. Some of the choir guys are just straight up weird though. *lol*

And then it was time for solos/duets/trios to sing anything they wanted. At this time it was like 4:45 and I was outta there by 5:20. It was crunch time behbeh. Heather, Brittany, and I were signed up to sing "How Do I Live?" by Leann Rimes. Quarter to five, these two chicas start freaking out like its a serious performance, when it was just for fun for a fundraiser. They need help. Before the whole thing started and people were still filing in we were practicing in our seats. Then Ronnie came into play. Ronnie's a cute senior who isn't in choir but pulled strings to get in anyway. He knew Heather and Brittany, but he hadn't seen me before. So he was like "Hi... I'm Ronnie... Whats you're name?" I told him and he was like "Sandra, okay... Nice to meet you Sandra. Do you sing well?" I said yes, I thought so anyway, and he immediately said back "Will you sing for me?" I was like, "Er... okay" and I started to sing the first verse of "How Do I Live?", which was unanimously omitted to me. The words, if you haven't heard the song before, are "How do I get through one night without you? If I had to live without you, what kind of life would that be? Oh I, baby I don't know what I would do. I'd be lost if I lost you. If you ever leave, baby you would take away everything good in my life." I started singing and I was kinda like, looking around ya know at everyone else and he stopped me and said "No. No. Sing to me" So I did. *lol* Being that the song is about being emotionally attached, and I was singing to a member of the opposite sex, as any performer would do I played along with the songs lyrics. I sang looking intently into his eyes without a smile, and then as I got further into the chorus I jokingly went and grabbed his face then put my hand over my heart. HE GRABBED MY FACE BACK! *lol* And as my lines drew to an end our faces kept getting closer... and closer... and by the time I stopped singing we were probably hardly a full inch away from each other. I cracked up and he moved in for a kiss but I turned my face and so he kissed my cheek instead. I was about 3 seconds from hooking up with him. And he was fine. But my morals kept me from that. =) It was loads of fun though. *lol* Brittany and Heather wouldn't leave me alone afterwards. "You got closer to him in your first 5 minutes of knowing him, and I've known him for 3 years!" - Brittany

Anyway, since they wouldn't quit bugging me to run through it a few times before performing it, we went to the lobby bathrooms and sang it. I don't think I've ever heard a voice so pure and beautiful as Heather's. And she is so self-conscious of herself, its like a joke. I don't understand how someone with SUCH talent could possibly lack confidence in himself or herself. She never believes me when I say that she's a wonderful singer. Well by the time we went up to stage we were all well past warmed up and we totally landed it. We rocked. =) A bunch of people in first period never heard me sing before, and they were so surprised because around them I'd always been so softspoken and this huge voice just escaped from my mouth. They were like whoa. *lol*

But it was so much fun! Okay, back to TODAY'S recap...

3rd there was a bitch sub. =/ She assigned the test, and after we all just kinda ignored her, and I think she got the point she had neither our respect nor our attention. Her threats were just not intimidating. At all. *lol* I went and hung by Christina, Chelle, and Thomas. Chelle was drawing her dream of Shanug the Octo-man and Xena fighting underwater while people on shore made out. *lol* It was funny. SHANUG RULES ALL!

4th we got a seating chart, which was frankly an insult to MY intelligence. I was upset. But I was just glad I was still in back. Bunch of reviews for the test on Tuesday. I'll kill Mitosis and Meiosis. I haven't gotten it in the past, and I don't get it now. Plus though, I do sit by Logan. And she's pretty smart. As am I. So we help each other.

5th, we went over all the situations and stated the cases which would serve as precedent in court for whether the officers did what they were supposed to or not. Kinda interesting but I was tired *lol*.

6th was WONDERFUL! 2J is my best friend. *lol* She told everyone yesterday that we would start "El Cid" the movie and that we would be able to bring food! Michael is the biggest loser. He works at BK and he owns so he brought in burgers and chicken AND this other kid brought in a Forman! We were pimpin. The chicken was so good. And there was like chips, cookies, candy, all that stuff. But the chicken was the best. *lol* And we started the Ojos de Reyes but we didn't finish. They were planned for Monday anyway. Michael and Billy brought in these yard long wooden dowel rods to use instead of popsicle sticks. That thing is gonna take so much yarn and be so big...lol.

TARS meeting today. We treated the whole meeting like parliament, and it was refreshing to see things done so professionally. =) We distributed our constitution, elected officers, and all that good stuff. It was a lot of fun. Nolan owns. Anyway, I've gotta go eat!

    Later,
    Sandra
