it was a cold day in no heat land
blah.
this was a long day. i had no electricity the entire day. no water, no nuffin. so i had to stay shut in my dark room with the dogs all day doing NOTHING until the electrician guy finished what he was doing at 6 pm. the thing is, he got there at 7:30 am. so yeah.
my fuel injector went bad. my car just about died on me, but i made it to the dealership. so now i'm back up here, but i have my mom's car until monday. we're going to switch back after my class.
student teaching was hell at first. i hated it the first day or two, but now that i'm adjusted to the schedule a little better. i'm really enjoying it. on friday the teacher was out and there was a substitute and she said if i wanted to direct the classes, she would count it as teaching hours. i took all six classes. it was really great tho, the students actually behaved (for the most part, one of them stole my agenda book and i dunno which period it was) and they did their work. apparently i talk to fast in spanish for them to understand me so i'm glad i found that out before i officially start taking over classes. i can adjust. next thursday i'm taking over 3rd period. i'll have them a week and then i'll take over first, then another week and i'll take over 6th, then 2nd, then 7th, and at that point i'll have them all for two weeks and then i'll drop them one at a time and give them back to my mentor teacher. i think that's how it's going to work anyway.
i have a sort of interview next friday afternoon with milford school district. there's an opening at the high school and they want to fill it early and my advisor already recommended me for the job. so now i have to go in and talk to them...so we'll see what happens.
valentine's day is still for suckers.
