Chinese Surname . . . Hahaa, recently I got the inspiration to search for the origin of my rare surname - 司徒 (Situ), and below is what I've got.
Origin of Situ, Seto, Szeto : - Situ is a surname which came from an official title. (2,255 – 2,205 B.C.) official title was Situ when he was under (2,357 – 2,255 B.C), who later gave his throne to Shun. The rank of Situ is equivalent to that of a prime minister, with the duty of governing the people, in charge of land properties, education and culture. During the Zhou Dynasty, the rank of Situ was renamed as Da Situ. Among the descendents of Shun, a clan used his official title Situ as their last name, known as the Situs.
Hometown : - The town of Zhao in Hebei Province.
Famous People in History : - Nan Dynasty - Situ Yan (official) Tang Dynasty - Situ Ying (judge) Five Dynasties - Situ Xiang (judge) Ming Dynasty - Situ Huabang (general)

Hmmm, my ancestor was a prime minister, and my origin surname should be "SHUN". Not sure which written character, though. And I remember "The 3 Kingdom" has a "Situ" too, but it's more like a rank title applied to him. Tho his profile is very low, he was prime minister 司徒王允 (Situ Wang Yun), who is also 貂嬋 (Diao Chan) foster father.
In the later part of the 1st chapter of "The 3 Kingdom", despite Wang Yun's disagreement, Diao Chan at her own will sacrified herself for the country.
Later, Diao Chan married 呂布 (Luu Bu), which was also part of the 美人計 (Beauty trick) to remove the warlock 懂桌 (Dong Zhuo).
Dong Zhou was killed by Luu Bu because of jealousy. Both of them had a thing for Diao Chan. Luu Bu was Dong Zhuo's best general, anyway.
Because of the wit, skill and gut, Luu Bu was so-called the most powerful warrior in "The 3 Kingdom" history. Too bad he fell into Diao Chan's trick, and died in a war.
