How do I add a todo list item?

First you'll need to login (http://www.blurty.com/login.bml) and then visit your todo list page (http://www.blurty.com/todo/). On the todo list page itself, there will be a small section called "actions", with a link labelled "add item". Following this link will bring you to the "add todo item" page, where you can enter in pertinent information regarding your todo list item.

The only thing you really need to fill out is the subject of your item, but all of the other information can be just as valuable as well.

The subject is the place to enter in the title for your item, and is the only required field on the page.

Setting the priority level on a todo list item specifies the relative urgency of your item.

The details field is a place for the description of your item, should you choose to add one.

The status field is a text input field where you can describe the status of your goal. Some examples include "starting stages", "drawing board", "almost done", etc.

In addition to the status field, there is also a percent field, which you can use to reflect the percentage amount accomplished towards your goal.

The due date field is basically to give your goal a certain deadline. The date fields are set up in the order of month-day-year (4 digit year) hour:minute, or mm-dd-yyyy hh:mm

The categories field allows you to file each item with certain keywords (up to 10 for each item), which you can then use to filter out items by keyword. Examples include "personal", "work", "school", etc.

The security field allows you to choose who will see your todo list item, should you choose to protect it. Public allows anyone to see items, Private allows only you to see them, and Friends allows only Blurty users you choose to be on your friends list see them.
