All About Blurty If Blurty was a person, and she had a website, this would be her bio page.What Is Blurty? Blurty is an online community of adults who have choosen, for whatever varied reasons, to publish their lives on the web. We believe first and foremost in free speech.
Why Blurty? Hey, we don't deny it, there are millions of journal sites for your to choose from. So, why this one? Well, it's free. That's a start. We also limit this site to adults, meaning those people who have reached at least 18 years of age. Mostly, we just think that some of the people you'll find here will keep you coming back. We don't claim to be better, just interesting in our own right. The web is big, there is plenty of room for us and the other guys, but we hope you'll spend some time looking around and decide that Blurty would be a nice place to call home.
The Technology Blurty is based on the open source code created by the wonderful people at Live Journal. If there was no Live Journal, there would be no Blurty. That doesn't mean they approve of, or endorse this site, it just means that they are mad geniuses who are kind enough to share their programming skills with the world. We thank them and encourage you to send Brad and the rest of those braniacs a Christmas present next year. The People Blurty is a community. There are hundreds of people who have contributed to creating this site. We can't name all of them here, but if you browse the site long enough, you'll likely run into more than a few of the people who have been instrumental in creating this community. If you stick around for a while, your name will be added to the list as well. Blurty is a swarm of bees, it is who and what it is at this moment, always moving and changing. Don't get stung.
