Well, I did promise that I would...
After a rather long and boring dry spell, Mr. Chick finally gets off his butt and draws something.

There's also a fun little book about how life couldn't POSSIBLY have evolved for sale... So tempting... but would the laughs really be worth the $0.49?

Not for tha faint of heart... or stomach for that matter....
This post really does invoke that actual psychological "train wreck" response. (Well, clicking on the links that abound does...)

Warning for the squeamish, the people with little kids, the people who just ate something, and the people at work: The links on the post are probably not safe for you. There are some pictures of real human genetic abnormalities, and some of them will give you shudders... (Especially the Harlequin Icthyosis... that made me shiver and I got through all of rotten.com's stuff just fine. x_X)

And before anyone asks... yeah, the conditions are real. Even the last one. None of the pictures were made up. So if you're the prayin' type, you might wanna thank your respective diety that you came out all right.

Wow.... people really ARE that stupid....
And either way this one runs, there's a train wreck all around.

Troll journal or bigoted "speshul" ed kid? You decide.

There's also a nice flame war brewing on the comments of the most recent post, if you wish to check that out as well. n_n

    DISMOUNT!
    [x-posted between goldchaosdragon and twsers]

Here are the links to some rather fun games... Some people might consider them a train wreck, but I shall let you be the judge. I know they definately relieve stress...

(Note: These games tend to run at different speeds on different computers. I think it has something to do with the 3D graphics card, so if the animation runs VEEEEEERRRRRRRYYYY slowly, this is why. Sorry.)

First, we have the developer's domain

    Presenting:

    Porrasturvat - Stair Dismount

    And it's sequel

    Rekkaturvat - Truck Dismount

The games themselves are freeware, but if you have a lot of money just lying around, the developers are taking donations over paypal.

    Oh dear
Yeah, this is my first post to this community, not to say that I don't read it on a regular basis. Anyway, I found the link to this on tviokh's journal. Anyway, this is definitely a trainwreck if I've ever seen one.

    Eccentric Furry people scare me.

Brace yourselves. This is really painful.

    A non-fundie train wreck
I bring you Bratz and Diva Starz. Don't they make you want to vomit? Make it projectile vomiting, since they deliberately misuse the letter Z and they're marketed to impressionable 8- to 10-year-olds.

And yet, I always feel compelled to stop and stare at the horror when I pass these dolls in the store . . .

Just as a reminder to anyone drinking anything, there's a scary voice in there that pops up after a random number of clicks on Baby Jesus.

First, we have a justified complaint on the cost of some yarns on Lj's knitting community. Poster puts a comment about how the yarn should have been made of God's magical fucking pubic hairs to be that expensive, put behind a cut-tag because of some offensensitive people who might take offense to it. (I thought it was funny. But I'm speshul.)

Then... fundie troll strikes complete with netspeak riddled diatribe and inexplicable self-censoring of words like "God" and "pubic" (since when was that considered a curse word even by fundies? and fundies generally not being Jewish and generally tending to spell "God" in all caps in bold with size 78 font..) This goes into a masterful job of stringing the troll along, as well as side-notes about whether or not God did indeed have pubic hair and an interesting look as to why some people DO type "God" as "G-d" (interestingly enough, it arises from Jewish practice... and to go along with what else is up there, you are also supposed to keep anything your write the name on and not trash it according to one of the Jewish students in my comp. religion class last year). (you'll have to click-through, the thread is long)

There is also some amusing speculation running about as to what to do with God's magical pubic hairs should one come across them.

Fundie troll strikes back when someone mentions that Prince (or whatever his name is today) is actually a hardcore Christian. Dunno about the truth of that rumor, but it sure set some panties in a wad.

Who knew that knitting could be so controversial?

    Your close-up, Mr. Chick
I am surprised that no everyone has discovered these, but just in case you never have, or lost the link somewhere...

Without further ado, the Chick Tracts

You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll wonder who could actually be stupid enough to believe these messages. You'll cringe when you realize that there really are humans that stupid.

Seeing as how I keep re-reading these things because I'm bored easily, expect me to make updates on the latest cringe-fest a regular thing.

    Because I care. Really.

    Hail Satan!
