More buttons to come! Or you can submit one to this page... Post in the community if you like.
 This one is by supersat.
 Thanks to cky for this.
If you have a website of your own, it would be nice if you uploaded it there; if not, copy and paste to load them from my server. You can link them back here if you want, or to mailto:abuse@blurty.com like greentea did.

did anyone else happen to get that email from the abuse team saying that they arent going to enforce the underage rule anymore? they also said that they're only going to suspend journals unless they have to. i think its unfair. but thats just me.

do the maintainers who suspend the underage users ever get pissed off at the people over 18 who send them the link to those users whom are underage? espically if the maintainer people recieve over 5 individual letters a day from one user? cause i have no idea.

Would anyone like a seemingly endless list of underage users to report? I have so many that it will take me quite some time to fill out reports. I have the direct links to proof of age. It is just easier for me to send one big email to someone who has the time & would really enjoy racking up a huge tally of kids. I have been collecting proof of these free users in violation for so long, that I'm way behind in filling out reports. Please let me know if anyone wants the list & links.

Hi, there's been a change of community ownership.
If you're over 18 and would like to be added please leave a comment; you must have your full birthdate listed on your info page.
Thanks.

The Abuse Team currently has 2 openings. We'll be accepting and looking over applications for the next couple of days, so if you're interested, apply away! Instructions on how to submit your application and what should be included can be found here: http://www.blurty.com/userinfo.bml?user=abuse .
Please take note that the Abuse Team has activity requirements. If you do not think that you will be able to donate at least a couple of hours a week to the board, then this is probably not the place for you to consider helping out. Abuse work can be frustrating and monotonous at times and funny and interesting at others. Basically, what I'm trying to say is that it's not always fun. That's about it! Apply away!

Ok, people, here's the deal. If you're here, you're at least 18, and able to read and follow directions. Everyone MUST read the rules, however few they are, before joining and posting in this community. There are just a few, and they are in the userinfo, which was just updated. There have been many posts in the last few weeks that I've let slide, but it's become a trend. Here are the rules, spelled out in plain English.
- This is for those who want to make Blurty an over 18+ journalling community. If you don't like that, then don't ask to join.
- Do not advertise other communities here. If you have a community that you think should be affiliated with this one, please comment on a post here by
girl_friday or in her journal and she will add you to the list.
- Absolutely no introduction-only posts. This is not an adult addme or chat community.
- Do not post underage users' names here until you receive a reply from the AI team that they have been suspended.
- Do not disable comments on a post. It's rude and serves no purpose. This isn't a high-traffic community; you won't get spammed.
- Respect others and the rules or risk being removed and/or banned from the community.
Generally, other members here know what they are talking about. Some are even members of the Abuse and Age Issues teams. Don't wait for a comment from me before editing or deleting your posts.

I wish we could report people who cannot use proper english. I don't mind it showing up here and there. . . but really. . . some people are even having trouble with phonics.

I have a question about Blurty history. Were EA Accounts also subject to the 18 and over rule when Blurty first started, or was it after the last EA account was given that the over 18 policy began?
I ask because in the past arguments people have said it was discriminating to only ban the free user accounts for age violations. If it wasn't until afterwards, then yes, they have every right to be here. But, if the >17 policy was written for the EA's also, then indeed, I do find it discriminatory.
Just curious
And yes, I am mean and vindictive. But I try to be only to those that cannot type and cannot finish a thought and, if lied upon getting an account, are stupid--yes stupid--enough to give away their true age.
To all those who ask if I feel mean spirited. . . no. Bitches don't feel mean spirited. That's just how they are! Woohoo!

In light of recent events with youwish, I just wanted to let you know that people who give tips to underagers with ways to avoid suspension are in violation of policy, here, and you can report them to your heart's content.

Many account holders from the community toocoolforyou have been suspended, but they have caught on to what is happening to their accounts. See for yourself ( They are getting wiser... )

I do have to ask, is there anyway that an underage user is free from the ban? I allowed my daughter to get a journal here. She is 13, and only writes in her journal. I allowed her to get a journal site here for only one reason. I want to keep up with her. I was hoping that what she doesn't tell me, she would write it out. She is a great journalist, when she keeps up with it. I just wanna know when she is heading for trouble before she gets into it. She hasn't joined any groups, and has only written in her own journal. No she is not on my friends list.
