Announcement - Assistant Mood Theme Manager Needed. [15 May 2004|08:45am] angel [ mood | awake ] Hello all. I am looking into "hiring" a volunteer worker to be my Assistant Mood Theme Manager here on Blurty. What I am looking for, is a person who is willing to spend at least 1-2 days a week working for MoodThemes. A person familiar with the The Admin Console is preferred, but if you're a hard worker, and a fast learner, I'm more than willing to teach. You must be 18 or older. Members under 18 with Early Adopter accounts are the exception and may apply. Duties include, but are certainly not limited to: - Assistance in the review and approval of user submitted themes for public use. - Installing/Coding submitted themes for use. - Assistance in developing community activities. - Research :) Those interested, please send an e-mail (Subject line: Blurty MoodTheme Manager Application) to cmschiavone@hotmail.com including your Blurty Username, age, experience, amount of time willing and able to spend working on Moodthemes, and any other information you feel I need to know or that you feel sets you apart from everyone else. Give me a reason to pick you! Please add me, angel to your friend's list if your journal is friend's only. Free users who have no space left don't need to do this. Any person hired who abuses any privlidges given to them as Assistant Moodtheme manager will immediately be fired, and benefits removed. Added: 5.30.04 To answer some questions I have received via e-mail. 1) Yes there will be some benefits/compensation in the form of Blurty privs or something similar, but they are not negotiable and subject to admin approval which is why they are not being announced until after a 'hire'. Any "award" will be given dependant on the person(s) selected. 2) Yes, I will teach you everything you need to know. In fact, I already made up some comprehensive tutorials. 3) No you do not have to be 18. However, you must be within the Blurty Rules/Policy, meaning if you have a FREE account, you do have to be 18 or older. 4) No, I have not chosen anyone yet. [08 Feb 2004|05:19pm] magicannon I've finally found the time to make a sample (they actually take a while). The elvish is based on English mode of Beleriand (sp?) used by Bombadil. Sign Language Mood Themes? [25 Jan 2004|09:04pm] ryelle33 [ mood | annoyed ] [ music | Story of the Year ] After seeing the other interesting languages that people have used, I had the brilliant idea of trying Sign Language. Unfortunately, not only do I not know the signs for all moods, the signs i do know involve movement. So I decided to, using paint, make the signing alphabet, and fingerspell the moods. I got to 'Creative' [that's 22] when i realized how bad i thought they looked, and i started to wonder if anyone'd use them. Please just look at them and tell me if i should continue. Updates [22 Jan 2004|11:14am] angel The two submitted themes from a month ago are currently being 'installed' as my carpal tunnel permits. Expect them to be useable by later this week/early next week as my wrist injuries permit. Also, I'm going to be getting surgery in a few weeks on my wrist, so I'll be unable to put up new themes for awhile after that - so if anyone has anything else to submit, get it in now so I can get it up before my fingers are out of commission. Hi [25 Aug 2003|11:50am] insane I just joined this community, because the idea of making moods for Blurty and actually being able to make them public appeals to me. I just need to get a few Adobe upgrades before I start. I'm thinking of making a cat or dog face theme, does that sound good? EDIT: I think I might also make a Hindi mood theme. Korean mood theme! [14 Aug 2003|02:47pm] killermuffin I'm working on another asian lingo mood theme. Yay me. I've got a handy dandy scanner now and I don't have the cash to pick up a 200 dollar language support pack so I can actually type in Korean, so it'll all be in the Muffster's handwriting. It used to be so much better. I'm actually much more literate in Korean than I am in Chinese--I'm not literate in Chinese at all--so the translations here won't make the average Chinese person think WTF? half the time. Chinese people generally don't read Korean anyway. I haven't decided how to work the color scheme on it yet, or if I'll just leave it all in pencil cause it looks kinda cool. [24 Jul 2003|12:25pm] thorned :) Hey guys. The other day I thought about coming in here and complaining that there aren't any any little mood icons. Then I figured complaining isn't going to help, and that I should just whip up my own batch and see what you guys think. I made smaller moods because I find big mood icons can be highgly distracting, and sometimes that drives me nuts. So, I made smilies. Just simple little smilies but they are all original.
