Worried that my Period will come at the wrong place and the wrong time
Here's the deal. I am going on a road trip with my family for one day to a waterslide place. Sounds fun, ne? Well, the thing is, I am supose to get my period on Saturday, and we are going on Friday. If I don't get until Saturday, I'm good, but if I get it Friday I am screwed. You are probably thinking, why not use a Tampon, well...I use Pads, not Tampons. Is there anything else I could use? There pretty much is nothing, but is there a pill that can change the date, or stop it from coming?

    Thank you so much!

    birth control recall
    lucky_groom Birth Control Pills Recalled

    Jul 10, 2003 12:01 pm US/Eastern
WASHINGTON (AP) Women who use a birth control pill named Nortrel 7/7/7 should closely examine 28-day packs of the contraceptive because the color-coded pills may be out of order, putting them at risk of pregnancy.

Barr Laboratories is recalling three batches of the pills -- 470,000 packs -- from pharmacies, and will replace any out-of-order Nortrel that women return to their drugstores. The company also said it will cover the cost of a pregnancy test for any woman who used an out-of-sequence pack.

Nortrel comes in a mix of colored pills to be taken a week at a time: Yellow pills in the top row, for Week 1, followed by a row of blue pills and then peach pills. The last row, for Week 4, should be white -- placebo or dummy pills.

Two women contacted Barr to say their Nortrel was reversed, with the white pills on top. Taking the pills in the wrong order could put a woman at risk of pregnancy, as well as cause irregular bleeding by changing the menstrual cycle.

Barr urged women taking the 28-day Nortrel 7/7/7 to check their packages. If the pill sequence is correct, keep using them. Women who have used an out-of-order pack, or aren't sure, shouldn't stop taking the pills but immediately consult their physician for further instructions.

The recalled batches involve the following lot numbers, printed on the upper right corner of the package's back: 290122001, 290122002 and 290122003. Any Nortrel 7/7/7 28-day package without a lot number also is included in the recall.

For more information, call Barr at 1-800-222-0190, ext. 33302.

i am in the hut right now, unfortunently.

my period was early this time. for the past couple of months, my schedule has been totally thrown out of wack. the longest cycle was 38 days and that was 3 months ago.. then it was 29 days and this last time it was 24 days. blah. nothing like being out of whack.

my cramps were kinda bad the first day, but after that, i was fine. i've just had a headache the whole time.

so, any ideas of why my cycle may be out of whack? during school, i thought it was stress because after i graduated i got my period almost right on time, but now it's early. blah.

    first post...
Welcome to the community! I'm not currently in the hut (yay), but I thought I'd post and welcome everyone.
Feel free to discuss menstruation, what you use, tips to bring on periods (did you know that parsley tea is commonly used to bring on a period?), how to deal with cramps, and all other things.
