A lot of times you can find similar products when two brands are owned by the same company:
Lancome, Maybeline, and L'oreal have a lot of the same colors/formulas b/c they are all owned by COsmair.
CG, MF, OoO/Olay, Noxema, C&C, and more are all part of Procter and Gamble
Estee Lauder owns Bobbi Brown, EL, MAC, JANE, Tommy Hilfiger Cosmetics, DK perfumes, Aramis, Clinique, and so many more.
Revlon owns Charles of the Ritz, ALmay, & Ultima II
Coty owns Rimmel, Coty, and a whole boatload of perfume/bath and body brands.
Shisiedo Owns Cle de Peau
Another good way to find good deals is by going generic. A benefit of going generic is not only price, but you can usually buy the things is that you can find them in sizes [usually large, called value or economy sizes] that you wouldn't get in the brand name.
