| nothing changes on new year's day. |
[02 Jan 2004|01:06pm] |
the show was amazing.
since we got there super early, there was plenty of down time, so we chatted with brian for a while. looks like this will be a good year for our beloved Dolls! they're signing with roadrunner records, more shows getting closer to the west coast, and a european tour in the spring. and at some point, their dvd with lots of live videos and other wholesome fun for the whole family will come out. he also told me how to get the video from ArtRages, when he did a striptease... mmm.
the Crooked Pins actors were wonderful, as were Guignol and Quay. the Dolls went on right at midnight. what a wonderful way to start the new year.
i'm waiting to get a setlist from mali. but i do have the Dolls setlist.
New Years Day Girl Anachronism Backstabber Ultima Esperanza WWW.WWW.III Amsterdam (w/ Franz on accordian) The Jeep Song (w/ Anna and Whitney on vocals) Delilah (w/ Anna and Whitney on vocals) Boston Hate Coin-Operated Boy Mrs. O Sex Changes Good Day Half Jack
that may not be in the correct order, but i had to adjust the setlist they gave me by memory. i'll make corrections later if needed.
i took some pics of Quay and the Dolls (and myself), which will be posted on my , if anyone cares to see.
happy new year everyone!

new pictures on their website. which means a new background, and a few new icons. there's more in the making, but here's what i've got so far:

if anyone wants a custom icon, i'd be more than happy to make it. ie, if you want me to put lyrics or a quote on one of these, i can do that.

i taped at the Rasputina show on saturday. it kind of sucked for taping because of some technical difficulties during a couple songs, but it was still a good show. they didn't play Will, though, and that made me sad. i talked to Amanda afterwards, and she offered to get me into the new years show. she is my hero. <3
so how many of you are going to the new years ball?

hmm... definently havent slept in 78 hours.
should say "i am NOW obsessed " or whatever i wrote.
i am.
bad.
anyway. i've started a plaque. 7 people so far, who've heard the dresden dolls playing in my car or apartment or wherever, are now also obsessed.
i rock.
anyway. sorry for the double post.

hello. i'm from beverly. i ((liberated)) the dresden dolls cd from newberry comics completely randomly one day. i had no idea who they were. i liked the cover. i am not obsessed beyond belief. (not really obsessed ofcourse, but mildly over-interested i guess would be a better term)
unfortunately, although i live only half an hour from boston... i had to drive to RHODE ISLAND to see them live. because i am but the mere age of 19. most of their shows seem to be 21 +.
anyway. it was well worth the drive. i took amazing photos. i will show them sooner or later. i've been to busy to get into the darkroom in the past month.
by the way: thanks for the invite.

Dresden Dolls :: Sex Changes |
] |
well, now i have time for an actual update. hello everyone, i'm tara. *waves*
my friend and i tape Dresden Dolls shows. they have become my obsession, and i'm lucky enough to be working with them. they hope to use our recordings for more website downloads, but nothing is really official yet. but you will all be the first to know if anything happens!
i have pictures on my website, which i update pretty much after any show i go to. i have also made a ton of Dolls icons and backgrounds (like what you see here), and i'm always happy to take requests. any icons i make are posted here if you're interested, all i ask is that you let me know you're taking some, and credit me!
now, off-topic question time. does anyone have or know where i can find some Count Zero mp3s?

Hello! I was invited to join this community, I suppose because I am a fan of the dresden dolls. I'm 20 years old and from the Boston area. I really love their music, their artisticness, their lyrics, their performance ability...just everything! I have only seen them play live once at the Middle East in Boston...and when Amanda started to play "Miss Me" - it just froze the audience and really, took my breath away. I really admire her "live statue" company as well...the 8-foot bride is my favourite.
